Happy Black History Month and Happy Valentine's Day!

Join WE ACT for Environmental Justice for a fun beauty justice advocacy fair where you can participate in activities such as a DIY beauty product making station, zine/ collage-making, letter writing to advance beauty justice, meeting with your State representative and so much more. This event is to show support for New York State’s Beauty Justice Act (A2054A/S2057A) which would ban many dangerous toxins (e.g. parabens, formaldehyde, PFAS, lead, mercury, etc.) currently found in our everyday body, skin, and hair products.

With every action you take at the fair: making a testimony video, signing a petition, talking to your State or City representative, it will increase your chances to win free clean beauty and personal care products. There will be multiple chances to win. Local small businesses will also have a booth where you can support them by purchasing nontoxic products. Food and drinks will be provided.

Don't miss our bus headed to Albany to advocate for environmental justice!

Join us on March 10th as we advocate for the Beauty Justice Act (S2057A/A2054A), which bans toxic chemicals in personal care products. 

Keep your eye on your email to receive a Zoom link to join a preparation call for this event the day before on March 9th, 2026, at 6pm on Zoom. On the call we will be explaining details of the Beauty Justice Act, tips on talking to your representatives, and answering any questions you have. 

Transportation to and from Albany, as well as food, will be provided. Meet the WE ACT team at our office (1854 Amsterdam Ave New York, NY 10031) at 6:00 am on March 10th to take the bus with us to Albany and enjoy a bagel breakfast.

Happy Earth Month!

Join WE ACT and our partners for Earth Day as we head to Albany! Raise your voice for environmental health and justice and meet with key decision-makers at the NYS Capitol. You will be advocating for legislators to pass a package of bills including beauty justice and lead poisoning this session, in teams led by experienced advocacy pros.

Keep an eye on your email to receive a Zoom link to join a preparation call for this event the day before, on April 21st, from 6 to 7 pm.  On the call we will be explaining the details of the bills, tips on talking to your representatives, and answering any questions you have.
