If you or anyone you know is dealing with energy bill debt, join WE ACT at our Harlem office on July 19th from 6pm to 8 pm. Advocates will help you enroll in a state program that will will provide you up to $4,750 to apply automatically toward any electric or gas bill debt you may owe up to May 1, 2022. If you already received utility debt assistance in 2022, you unfortunately will not qualify again. There will be activities for kids, snacks provided, free filing assistance, free postage to send in your application, and free printing available.

What to bring:

- Your utility bill (in order to apply, you must be the name on the utility account)

- Your Medicaid card if you have one

- Some form of ID

- A copy of your benefits award letter
