Transit RIders Action Committee

Over the past two years, Albany took over $260 million dollars of funding reserved for public transit to balance the state’s overall budget. These raids left transit riders with higher fares, cuts to Access-A-Ride, the loss of 2 subway lines and dozens bus routes.

In response to these cuts, WE ACT has teamed up with Northern Manhattan transit riders to build grassroots power to fight for more equitable transportation decisions for riders in our neighborhood.

Join the Transit Riders Action Committee (TRAC) and help us organize for affordable mass transit, accessible transportation options, safe streets, transportation infrastructure that doesn’t increase air pollution and asthma, and decision-making that is rooted in the community
