Community Design Charrette

WE ACT, CALL/City as Living Laboratory, and architect planner Elliott Maltby along with community residents, key stakeholders, climate and emergency preparedness experts are convening a Community Design Charrette.

The goal of the charrette is to envision strategies for a kiosk and programming that can increase climate resiliency in Northern Manhattan with a targeted focus in West Harlem. We will begin with a spirited conversation around questions such as:

  • How to develop and devise a climate proof, locally managed communications system?
  • How can we guide and direct local residents to necessary resources during a crisis?
  • How can it serve as a rallying place for education, exchange, and dialogue?

Join us in creating a more resilient Northern Manhattan on November 5th. Registration and breakfast begin at 10:30, the charrette will start at 11:00AM.
